Personalizing your Business Brand with an Austin Branding Photo Session | Austin, TX
When some clients reach out to ask about booking their own Austin personal branding session, they’ve never even had a professional photo shoot before! Does that mean you’re not ready for brand photography? Absolutely not.
If, like Jen, you’ve realized that the photos on your website are outdated and poorly communicating your brand, or that they really don’t feel or look like you, then you’re in the right place. Jen was ready for better and she knew it was time to treat herself to a professional photo experience.
As our business grows so does our brand personality. Our messaging, direction, and visions strengthen and our audiences can sometimes shift or change. Let your website and brand photos follow this journey with you.
Your business photos should grow with you and highlight your unique traits and the way you serve your customers. They should reflect your growth. Personal branding photographs should not only sell your services but also communicate the stage you’re at in your business. All of this helps you elevate your clients and raise your prices while validating your costs to your customers.
If your services have really evolved and grown, but you’re still using a headshot from 10 years ago, that dated headshot is doing your business a huge disservice and it’s stunting your growth.
Jennifer is one of the kindest, warmest, and friendliest women I’ve met— and her website wasn’t reflecting that. So, we worked together to define her goals, her audience, and the message she wanted to convey through her visual marketing… and then we brought that warmth into her Austin Branding Session.
We tend to think that if our business is very professional, it means that our personality in our photos should reflect that, but times are changing. We can be professionals and not come across in our photos as “corporate” or wearing business suits.
Today, people want to buy from small businesses they like and know. You need to help them know you.
That’s where personal and lifestyle branding photography becomes such a great alternative to stiff corporate headshots.
We’ll work together to create branded business images that show people the real you!

These Austin brand photos for a local copywriter take a fresh, edgy spin to capture her personal brand. It is one of my new favorite sessions to date!
For her personal brand session, we incorporated her love for plants and floral elements and her beloved brand "mascot", her dog, Yoda, into her brand photography session. Heather is a bright and quirky person so her photos needed to reflect that. We wanted her session to be creative and personal and to show her heart for animals, her love for the environment, and how these things influence her beauty standards and approach to her services.
Your brand photos are not only about you.
Branding photography is a chance for us to communicate with the people we want to be reaching. To speak directly to them.
But you don’t want to speak to everyone. If you’re speaking to everyone, you’re reaching no one.
Maybe you think photos of yourself never turn out well (I have a way of helping you show up beautifully and naturally on camera). Or maybe you’re someone, like Monique here, who as she put it, “has never had proper photos taken”. Let’s embrace your inner goddess and let her shine so you can actually feel good about sending people to your website and really start making those bucks.

The main goal for this Austin Branding Photo Session was to attract a high-end market that trusted Robin with the creative control and direction of their design project while getting the sense that she was artistic and fun. This drove several of our creative and stylistic decisions… we wanted to establish credibility and also create a bit of creative edge.
With the “Human-First” approach, Megan reminds us to prioritize our humanity while running a business, in essence putting our mental health and well-being at the forefront so that we can then in turn be overall better business owners and contributors to the world (including our own, obviously).
This drove the inspiration behind our Austin brand photo session which Megan came all the way from Minnesota for!
That’s why there’s a mix of bed-shots, desk shots, some dirty laundry, and lots of socks, as well as headshots and content photos, of course.
